Drafthouse Cinema Streamlines Ops by Integrating Data from the POS

10/11/2012
Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has built a reputation as a movie lover’s oasis by combining food and drink service with unique programming to provide the ultimate movie-going experience. However, integrating data from the separate cinema and restaurant business operations initially presented a challenge for Alamo’s management team and IT director Daniel Legh-Page. The solution was Mirus Restaurant Solutions, that is able to integrate different POS systems for a single enterprise, and has proven success in combining disparate data streams and delivering flexible ad hoc reports.

Prior to implementing Mirus, Alamo’s analysts were forced to manually compile and integrate ticketing and restaurant data. Now, Alamo can generate timely ad hoc reports.

Alamo Drafthouse is an entertainment brand comprised of an acclaimed cinema-eatery chain, the largest genre film festival in the United States and a collectible art gallery. Named “the best theater ever” by Time Magazine, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has built a reputation as a movie lover’s oasis not only by combining food and drink service with the movie-going experience, but also introducing unique programming and high-profile, star studded special events.
