CityCenter Streamlines Operations with Software Suite from Agilysys

CityCenter in Las Vegas has selected a software suite from Agilysys to streamline operations at the colossal urban destination that includes hotels, residential units and a retail and entertainment complex. CityCenter is using the Stratton Warren System, a comprehensive inventory and procurement solution, and the InfoGenesis POS system to enhance efficiency and guest service at ARIA Resort & Casino, Vdara Hotel & Spa and Crystals, an upscale dining, shopping and entertainment venue.

The Stratton Warren System (SWS) is a full-featured inventory and procurement solution that maximizes purchasing power and reduces operational costs. Recognized as the hospitality industry's leading inventory and procurement system, SWS automates the entire procurement process -- from food and beverage to general property materials -- and provides a fast and measurable return on investment by helping reduce labor costs and waste and eliminating time-consuming and error-prone paper documents. Features of SWS version 8.0 include a new graphical user interface, store and forward enhancements, electronic invoicing capabilities, budget tracking and improved security.

The InfoGenesis POS system is an award-winning point-of-sale software solution that combines powerful reporting and configuration capabilities in the back office with an easy-to-use touch-screen terminal application. Designed for multi-unit operations common in hospitality environments, the system can manage any combination of dining, bar, room service and gift shop operations. Features of the InfoGenesis POS solution include audit log and electronic journal, multi-language capability, packages and prix fixe menus, signature capture, real-time reporting capabilities and advanced sorting, filtering and grouping options. ARIA Resort & Casino and Vdara Hotel & Spa uses the InfoGenesis POS system in their restaurants, bars and gift shops. In addition, vendors at the Crystals shopping and entertainment complex use tablet PCs running the InfoGenesis POS wireless solution to post charges for guests staying at the two hotels.

The $8.5 billion dollar CityCenter project is a joint venture between MGM MIRAGE and Infinity World Development Corp., a subsidiary of Dubai World. CityCenter is a sustainable urban community that covers 67 acres between Bellagio and Monte Carlo Resorts. The destination includes one gaming property called ARIA Resort & Casino and three non-gaming hotels: Mandarin Oriental, Harmon Hotel and Vdara Hotel & Spa. The complex also includes residential units and a retail and entertainment venue called Crystals.
