Choice Hotels International Opens 31 New Hotels in August
Choice Hotels International, Inc. continues to grow with the announcement of 31 newly-opened franchised properties during the month of August. The openings include hotels in 20 states and three additional countries, adding more than 2,500 rooms to the company's existing 490,000-plus rooms. Select properties that opened in August include:

This newly-renovated Ascend Collection hotel, built in 1928, is a piece of South Dakota history that has been brought into the 21st century, featuring an ornate lobby adorned with period art and architecture, Native American carvings and a Baby Grand piano. Located on the property are Paddy O'Neill's Irish Pub, Seattle's Best Café, Alex Johnson Mercantile and the Paul Mitchell Salon and Spa.
