Champion Hotels Installs dormakaba RFID Door Locks at IHG avid Hotel and Tru by Hilton
Champion Hotels opened the world’s first IHG avid hotel in Oklahoma City this month. It also opened the first Tru by Hilton in mid-2017. Champion installed dormakaba’s Saflok Quantum™ mobile ready RFID electronic door locks at both properties. Champion Hotels is the largest privately held hotel operator in the United States with more than 180 franchised locations. Its brands include Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, and Choice. dormakaba provides secure Saflok™ and Ilco™ electronic door locks and is one of the top three companies in the global market for access and security solutions.
“dormakaba’s equipment and service are excellent. We use their locks at many of our properties and will install dormakaba locks in all our future new construction projects,” said Harshil Patel, Champion Hotels’ vice president. “Good service is essential in hospitality, and reliable locks are important to the guest experience. Hilton’s mobile access system at its Tru properties uses dormakaba equipment and it works great. We insist on using dormakaba electronic door locks at all our projects, regardless of brand. This includes our Marriott properties.”
Champion Hotels currently has five properties under construction and approximately 20 in development.
“Champion Hotels is a family owned and operated company. It is different than a large corporate business,” Patel said. “Our philosophy is to care for our property teams, so our teams can care for our guests. Providing guests with a secure door lock that works perfectly is important to us. Mobile access is a huge advance. I use our branded property’s mobile access systems when I travel. dormakaba’s mobile system has never failed me.”
dormakaba’s mobile access solution is a secure, open platform that adapts to the business goals and marketing needs of hoteliers while it enhances the guest experience. All dormakaba RFID locks manufactured today are compatible with IOS and Android smart devices for wider adoption.
