Unidine Processes Card Payments Quickly and Cost Effectively with TransNet Payment Engine

Unidine Corporation, a leading provider of dining services management, has selected Precidia Technologies Inc.'s TransNet payment engine to integrate payments with electronic cash registers (ECRs). Unidine's dining locations in hospitals, senior's facilities, and businesses can now process card payments quickly and cost effectively, with full security. Precidia's NetVu management server adds value to these installations, delivering remote deployment, monitoring and management, along with a wealth of business data.

Unidine turned to Precidia to deliver a solution that would easily integrate credit, debit, gift and loyalty payment processing with existing electronic cash registers (ECRs). The TransNet payment engine fits the bill, delivering fast, cost effective payment processing to any certified payment processor. Not only does the TransNet solution meet these needs, it also offers value added features that improve the payment function. These features include the ability to route through multiple processors, automatic dial back-up in case of network failure, and additional ports to integrate peripherals at the point of sale.

TransNet offers the industry's most comprehensive approach to security. The PCI PA-DSS validated solution offers field-tested firewalling, SSL encryption and settings designed to assist merchants in achieving and maintaining PCI compliance.
Remote access
Managed by NetVu, the TransNet solution offers flexible device access options, making it easier and more cost effective to manage payments across multiple locations. "Unidine has taken advantage of TransNet's design to access NetVu remotely," says James Lux, chief information officer for Unidine. "We receive network alerts for all of our locations on our smartphones, and can use the browsers on these handheld devices to access data on and manage changes to the POS devices in our locations. The ability to access data and manage the devices from virtually anywhere offers significant advantages when supporting multiple locations with a lean IT team," says Lux.
TransNet is used in a variety of retail payment applications, and integrates easily with ECRs, PC Systems, IP/Dial payment terminals, POS applications and e-commerce websites.
