Remington Hotels, OpenKey Partnership Gives Its Independent Hotel Portfolio Access to Digital Key Tech

Remington Hotels, an independent hotel management company, announced a portfolio-level partnership with OpenKey, a provider of mobile key technology to hotels. The eighth largest third-party manager in North America, Remington Hotels provides top quality service in the areas of property management and condominium hotel management with more than 40 years of experience in the hospitality business.

On the OpenKey partnership Remington Hotels Chief Operating Officer Sloan Dean remarked, “Guests at our hotels are expecting to use their mobile devices to control more of their experience on property, and partnering with OpenKey is one way Remington Hotels is responding to those evolving guest demands and delivering an exceptional stay experience across our portfolio of a dozen independently flagged hotels.”

In addition to the independent hotel portfolio, Remington manages more than 85 hotels in 27 states across 16 different brands – providing the company experience with mobile keyless platforms from Hilton, Starwood and Marriott brands.

“We have a great deal of experience with digital keys in our hotels, and we’ve found the OpenKey platform to be very user-friendly and simple for the hotel staff and guests to engage with,” stated Dean.

In 2014, OpenKey set out to perfect mobile hospitality. Its keyless entry technology has been elevating the guest experience while reducing hotel staff workload. In addition to empowering guests with a tap of a button on their smartphones, it also reduces waste, eliminating the need for plastic key cards.
