Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is a ‘must see’ for attendees at the National Retail Federation's (NRF) Retail's Big Show on January 15-17, 2023, at the Javits Center in New York. Guests in Toshiba's booth 3323 will be immersed in how Toshiba is ‘YOUnifying Experiences’ by creating new opportunities for retailers to provide meaningful experiences and build lasting connections with shoppers in the communities they serve.

"Retailers are under extreme pressure in this volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) world. We are devoted to the industry and have invested significantly in innovation to make stores smarter and more agile," says Rance Poehler, President and CEO of Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions. "Our total solutions empower retailers to imagine, build, and scale retail experiences that can adapt to ever-changing conditions. The strength of our partner network is a vital component of our success in serving the needs of retail and adjacent vertical industries."

Toshiba will showcase its hardware solutions and software innovations like the ELERA™ Commerce Platform in its booth. ELERA and its suite of solutions help free retailers from legacy technology constraints. With more control over store operations, retailers can enhance efficiency and productivity at scale. Booth guests will also get an early glimpse at live demos of innovative retail solutions on the horizon, like a total touch-free computer vision solution for self-checkout, an accessible and scalable smart cart solution, a biometric checkout payments system, and more.

Toshiba's total solutions across hardware, software, and services enable retailers to unify their digital and physical experiences to address their unique needs as retail evolves. "We are always creating, and NRF is the perfect opportunity to share innovations supporting the rapidly evolving retail market," says Fredrik Carlegren, VP of Marketing & Communications, Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions. "Every shopper deserves the best possible experience, and we empower retailers with the technology and know-how to reimagine and deliver unified retail experiences that create meaningful, personalized interactions with each shopper meeting their preferences.”

Wayfair, an early ELERA adopter, will share the stage with Toshiba in the Innovation Lab. The 30-minute moderated panel titled "The Intersection of Innovation & Intention: Shaping the Next Store Experience" takes place on Monday, Jan. 16, from 2-2:30 p.m. The panel, moderated by Carlegren, will include Kevin O'Riordan, Head of Physical Retail and Supply Chain Engineering, Wayfair, and Yevgeni Tsirulnik, SVP of Innovation and Incubation, Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions. The executives will discuss the digital transformations Wayfair and Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions are driving to enrich the shopper experience. This conversation will explore how brick-and-mortar stores deploy retail technology and how cutting-edge unified commerce platforms accelerate retail transformation.

Toshiba has unveiled several new partner programs over the past year and 10+ Channel partners will be featuring Toshiba retail hardware in their booths. Also, two of Toshiba‘s strategic ISV partners will showcase their leading-edge solutions in the Toshiba booth this year – Custom Business Solutions (CBS) will feature Restaurant solutions, and Xenia Retail will feature solutions for Convenience and Specialty retailers.
