NRA NEWS: Lavu Partners with Epson to Drive Mobile POS Innovation

According to IHL’s Mobile POS Shipments report, overall iPad POS represents 55.9% of total mobile POS installations in retail and hospitality, with hospitality alone being around 21%. Many restaurant operators are gravitating away from traditional, fixed terminals towards more mobile systems to take advantage of inherent benefits such as lower cost of ownership, ease of use, enhanced customer service and space-saving design.
The Lavu system is a full-featured hospitality management system that combines a sleek and user-friendly interface with the advanced functionality required to run an efficient restaurant, bar cafÉ or hotel operation. Epson’s OmniLink will serve as the peripheral device hub for the Lavu iPad POS platform enabling seamless and reliable connection and management of required POS peripherals, including credit card readers, barcode scanners, scales, and customer displays. With OmniLink, existing or new POS peripherals can be easily added – protecting legacy investments without diminishing the sleek Lavu iPad POS factor.
