La Alhambra Apart Hotel in Santa Catarina Sees 20% Growth in Its Revenue

Hotelogix, a provider of cloud-based Property Management Systems, announced that the adoption and efficient use of its PMS has helped La Alhambra Apart Hotel in Santa Catarina, Brazil witness a 20% increase in its revenue. This considerable growth in its revenue is a result of 30% boost in OTA booking and 10% increase in direct booking coming via its brand website.

Located in Florianópolis, the capital of Brazil’s Santa Catarina state, La Alhambra Apart Hotel is a 14-year old family-owned property with 27 rooms. Right on the sands of Cachoeira do Bom Jesus beach, this independent hotel offers pleasant accommodations to leisure travelers.  This popular hotel enjoys excellent ratings and guest reviews on several online hotel booking portals – 4.5 out of 5 on TripAdvisor, 8.9 out of 10 on Booking.com and 9.3 out of 10 on Agoda.

La Alhambra Apart Hotel has been using Hotelogix for the last three years and has seen many benefits.

“Thanks to the PMS and Channel Manager Integration, we have been able to work with OTAs quite efficiently. This has brought us 30% more OTA bookings. Additionally, the website booking engine integration has led to a 10% increase in direct bookings. We have registered a 20% growth in our overall revenue,” says Gaston Olcese, Owner of La Alhambra Apart Hotel.

Before adopting Hotelogix, La Alhambra Apart Hotel was using its in-house on-premise PMS. However, it was a basic application which was not user-friendly. It couldn’t get integrated with a channel manager, thus preventing the management from updating OTAs in real-time. This also led to overbooking. “Moreover, we couldn’t access the PMS from outside of our property. But with Hotelogix, we have successfully managed to handle this. I live in Argentina and the hotel is located in Brazil. Now, I can access the system using their Mobile Hotel App from anywhere in the world,” Gaston further says.
