Infor Acquires Vivonet

With its recent acquisition of Vivonet, Infor is entering the restaurant and foodservice tech space.

New York-based Infor is known for its cloud-based hotel tech solutions, and the deal extends Infor's solutions to include point-of-sale (POS) and inventory and procurement functionality for companies in the foodservice management, full and quick-service restaurant, and hotel food and beverage micro-verticals.

Founded in 2000, Vancouver, B.C.-based Vivonet offers solutions for POS, kiosks, kitchen systems, payments, labor scheduling, and food and labor cost management. Vivonet products are deployed at more than 4,000 locations. The applications are complementary to Infor, the company said. 

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
