Guestline Partners with UK Hospitality Colleges to Train Future Hoteliers
Guestline said its portfolio of solutions has been installed at several hotel schools across the UK. The schools train students on the platform and ensure the hoteliers of tomorrow are proficient in all aspects of an efficient property management system (PMS). The company has worked with the tutors and staff at each college to ensure students have the opportunity to develop an understanding of the role and operations of PMS in order to maximize their employment potential in the hospitality industry when they leave college.
Many hoteliers rely on Guestline’s Rezlynx PMS to manage their operations and ensure they are achieving maximum occupancy at the most profitable rate. As a result there is a strong demand from colleges to ensure students have a working and practical understanding of its functionality.
The Edge Hotel School, based at the 50-room Wivenhoe House Hotel in Colchester, has selected Guestline’s solutions for system training on its intensive two-year hospitality degree course. In doing so, its students will benefit from being taught the theory and are then able to put it into practice at the on-site property.
With 35 hospitality courses offered at Dumfries & Galloway College, students of the further education college also have the chance to follow a module in Guestline’s property management system, Rezlynx.
East Kent College is another educational establishment training students on Guestline’s technology, to equip future hoteliers with the skills to improve efficiencies and revenues across all hotel operations. With the 4-star Yarrow hotel situated on its Broadstairs Campus, pupils can benefit from being able to apply the theory in a commercial setting to further cement their knowledge.
