Guarded Systems Introduces New Internet Access Gateway Protection
Guarded Systems introduced a new solution to protect a hotel's Internet Access Gateway, the XcessPro Multi Services Controller (MSC), a full-service solution that provides an Internet gateway, firewall, WAN load-balancing and traffic shaping from a single source. It's also hosted in the cloud, and comes equipped with a built-in property-management system interface and 24/7/365 in-room support.
The multifunctional appliance is designed to replace a full rack of disparate appliances, which is key to keeping costs low and both satisfaction and Internet usage rates high among hotel guests. Also, hotels are not required to pay annual licensing fees for the XcessPro MSC solution as long as the appliance is maintained in the cloud by Guarded Systems.
XcessPro MSC is a single device designed from ground up to address the needs of networks deployed today and in future. It integrates the FreeBSD platform used by XcessPro MSC with other technologies, such as PF Filters, layer 7 Filter, squid and other network services.
