Eat'n Park Hospitality Group Selects MICROS for 75 Store POS Rollout
Eat'n Park Hospitality Group, Inc., a Pittsburgh-based food service company with a focus on personalized dining, has selected the MICROS Workstation 5 (WS5) hardware platform for all Eat'n Park restaurant locations. The deployment, which includes four to five terminals at each restaurant running the already installed MICROS RES point-of-sale software, was completed in mid-March 2010 at 75 restaurants and provides Eat'n Park with a strategic universal platform.
Eat'n Park, a long-time MICROS software client, is an anchor food service company headquartered in Pittsburgh that continues to expand and diversify. To support its ever growing technology needs, Eat'n Park selected the MICROS WS5, a rugged point-of-sale hardware terminal that is easy to install and maintain, intuitive to use, and extremely reliable. The MICROS WS5's use of flash memory and passive cooling reduces the risk of costly mechanical failures and improves system reliability and uptime.
"MICROS is a strategic technology partner for Eat'n Park," says Rich Liebscher, vice president of information technology. "We selected the MICROS WS5 for its increased security and reliability afforded by its design, which has no hard drive and includes an OEM embedded operating system. The simplicity of component replacement and initialization is critical to keep our operations moving smoothly and the team members uninterrupted. We have a solid strategy to implement new restaurant technology which will improve our operations and elevate our guest service. The move to an integrated point of sale hardware and software solution is an important component to that strategy."
