Boyd Gaming Upgrades In-Room Entertainment, WiFi via Partnership with Cox Business and Hospitality Network
Cox Business and Hospitality Network today announced that it is outfitting Boyd Gaming Corporation’s Las Vegas properties with premium connectivity services to enhance the guest experience from hotel rooms to the casino floor.
As part of the agreement, Cox’s new in-room entertainment (IRE) solution will be implemented in over 6,000 Boyd hotel rooms nationwide by mid-2022, giving guests convenient access to their favorite modern programming like the Netflix streaming app, video-on-demand (VOD), and free-to-guest (FTG) HD channels.
Additionally, Cox is providing a significant upgrade to public and hotel room WiFi capabilities at Boyd properties nationwide. Cox Business and Hospitality Network’s WiFi ethernet and Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) devices will provide connectivity property-wide with over 2,500 wireless access points -- allowing guests to enjoy high-energy gaming experiences on the casino floor and lightning-fast Internet from the lobby to their rooms, resulting in a truly connected experience at every point across the property.
“Our mission at Boyd Gaming is to provide our guests with a unique and compelling gaming hospitality experience,” said Blake Rampmaier, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Boyd Gaming. “Cox Business and Hospitality Network provide us the tailored solutions we need to consistently exceed guest expectations by providing a truly connected experience at Boyd properties across the country.”
Boyd Gaming is one of the nation’s leading casino entertainment companies, currently operating 28 gaming properties in 10 states nationwide.
