Aloft Hotels Utilizes Next-Gen Software with a Virtual Concierge
Aloft Hotels has taken several initiatives to maintain a modern edge over the competition, one of which is the installation of cutting-edge guest service technology from software company Intelity. The Intelity ICE (Interactive Customer Experience) enterprise platform is present in 26 Aloft hotels internationally, with plans to eventually install in all.
Aloft, which falls under the umbrella of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. has used this technology to provide its guests with a distinguished, top-tier experience, and a recent survey of customer satisfaction among hotel guests released by J.D. Power and Associates proves that the efforts are effective. Aloft was one of only four upscale North American hotel brands identified as “Among the Best.”
Aloft Tallahassee Downtown in Florida is one of the hotels that now features operational ICE technology. Guests are greeted in the lobby with an ICE-equipped touch screen that serves as a “Cool Concierge.”
The ICE Lobby software provides guests with digital information about the hotel and the local area, allows them to look up flight information and print boarding passes, and gives them the opportunity to arrange for pick up by taxi, among other services. The mix of technology and Southern hospitality has proven to be a successful pairing for the hotel, with about half of the traveler reviews on TripAdvisor giving the Tallahassee hotel the highest possible rating.
The positive effects of ICE Lobby technology featured as a “Cool Concierge” are recognized internationally as well, such as at the Aloft Abu Dhabi, this year's winner of the Middle East Hotel Award for Best Technology Integration. And the technology is merely the tip of the iceberg as far as amenities go at this hotel. Others include five restaurants, a sparkling pool with a poolside bar, and a location convenient to the airport and several of the city's attractions.
