When testing a product it is always important to put it through the most rigorous situations possible. Although our offices do not resemble a Cheesecake Factory kitchen, sometimes we are able to manufacture similar circumstances. With that in mind, I recently put the Seiko Smart Label Printer through the HT wringer. Picture this, it is December 29th and I have a December 30th deadline to get out our family newsletter and a hundred or so names to address. Half the addresses were on my work computer (a Mac) and the rest on the home PC. Fortunately, the plug-and-play printer was as easy to set up as promised on both computers. The printer produced decent, if not quite awe inspiring, graphics (a picture of our kids), and ran through the hundred labels as quickly as our assembly line could work. If a printer can handle our annual letter, imagine what it could do in a hospitality setting.
