November marked a special moment for innovation as China Hospitality Technology Alliance celebrated its fifth anniversary this month, hosting the Transforming 2017 Global Leadership Summit in mesmerizing Tokyo for the occasion. Mr. Rama participated on a panel discussion on Artificial Intelligence (AI) – Internet of Things (iOT) and BlockChain as it relates to the hospitality Industry. Set amid the autumn beauty of downtown Tokyo’s Happoen Garden, the event proved a vibrant forum for the latest trends and changes in the industry, with special emphasis on cross-border innovation arising in China’s tech-forward marketplace.  As well as two full days of keynote talks and panel discussions with experts in fields including big data, AI, and the sharing economy, Transforming 2017 featured presentations from rising stars at Plug and Play’s Startup Accelerator Program chosen to pitch their platforms to an audience of industry leaders. Following a group tour of mobile giant Rakuten’s Tokyo headquarters the gathering closed on a festive note with CHTA’s annual Most Valued Awards party.
