Placed App to Help Hospitality Venues Find Staff

10/27/2016
Placed, a mobile and web application designed to match hospitality candidates and venues to each other, is said to launch soon. Co-founded by hospitality industry insiders Jennifer Johansson and Natalie Chassay, Placed boasts access to jobs at some of London’s best bars, restaurants and hotels whilst creating a much more cost and time efficient process for venues in need of great staff.

The biggest challenge faced by the hospitality industry is a lack of talented staff, with an extremely high turnover in this sector. In a time where technology-based solutions for a variety of existing problems are rampant, hospitality recruitment methods remain somewhat archaic in nature. Placed was conceived due to Johansson and Chassay's recognition of the most serious and ongoing problem in the industry: recruitment. Placed App is on a mission to change the way hospitality recruitment works by offering candidates a fun, easy and interactive way to find new jobs and by giving venues seamless, fast and cost efficient access to great candidates.

Communication is entirely centralized through the app, with interview requests synced to calendars, direct messaging, advanced filtering options, as well as a rating system. For candidates, the process eliminates the need for updating CVs and writing long cover letters. A series of interactive questionnaires ascertain a candidate’s level of experience and caliber of venues they have worked at in the past. Questions like “How does James Bond like his martini?” for example probe a candidate’s knowledge base in an amusing and non-interrogative way.

Access to a world of industry news and exclusive benefits and discounts at stylish venues creates a wholly appealing experience for candidates and venues alike. Quality control too, is at the forefront of what Placed is all about, meaning that in-built functions such as 24 hour interview request prompts, rating systems and manual acceptance or rejection to the app ensure that candidates are of a good quality and are actively looking for work.
