Panera Installs Kitchen Tech, eLearning Terminals

Panera Bread announces that it will deploy the Logic Serve Kitchen Display System from Logic Controls, Inc. in its corporate and franchisee locations. More than one hundred sites have installed the kitchen display system.

"Panera is dedicated to providing a great dining experience for our customers, which not only means healthy food, but that every order is delivered quickly and accurately," notes Bill Breyer, director of field systems at Panera Bread. "The KDS system is truly mission critical at Panera, and we cannot afford downtime at our busy cafes. System reliability was a key factor in our selection."

Panera is also utilizing Logic Controls' All-in-One terminals for its online eLearning application. The terminals have been installed in more than three hundred Panera locations.

"Unlike terminals used at the front counter, the eLearning terminal needed to be wireless and more portable, allowing for use in different areas of the cafe environment," says Breyer. "We needed a hardware platform that was both mobile and durable. We also had some additional unique requirements around ease of connecting peripherals, such as earphones, keyboard and mouse. Logic Controls responded quickly with custom modifications to meet our needs."
