NRF 2016 NEWS: Star Micronics Debuts High-Speed POS Printer
Star Micronics exhibited new solutions at the 105th Annual National Retail Federation (NRF) Expo. Star Micronics demonstrations will showcase both new and traditional POS solutions and applications for the most quality retail technology including:
mPOP™
Star Micronics’ mPOP™, Mobile Point of Purchase is the first hybrid peripheral for tablet POS that combines a cash drawer, printer peripheral, and an optional 1D barcode. With convenient Bluetooth and USB connectivity, this compact, stylish, yet fully integrated peripheral is an ideal solution for tablet and mobile device-based POS systems.
The mPOP™ combines a two-inch thermal receipt printer and a compact cash drawer and is compatible with all major operating systems including IOS, Android, and Windows. The all-purpose POS solution works with any supported mobile software and payment system, allowing retailers the freedom of using various platform options.
TSP100III
The TSP100III is Star Micronics newest high-speed POS printer. Similar to the TSP100 and the TSP100ECO, the TSP100III still includes cables, internal power supply, and easy set up, but now prints at twice the speed, and is offered with WLAN connectivity. The thermal, high-speed POS printer prints up to 45 receipts per minute with a guillotine partial-cut auto cutter. With its powerful futurePRNT Windows software, users can enhance their printed receipts to add graphics (logos and coupons), barcodes, or to use the text reversal function when the printer is vertically mounted, and much more, making it the perfect retail POS solution.
AllReceipts™
AllReceipts™ is Star Micronics free, digital receipt solution available on all of Star’s thermal desktop receipt printer models. AllReceipts™, a service provided by Star cloud services (subsidiary of Star Micronics) also comes with important retail benefits to the retailers such as a device management tool providing printer status, paper low, operational notifications, and instant customer survey results. With the AllReceipts™ app, customers can manage their receipts digitally, for free and anonymously.
