North Carolina Restaurateur Adopts POS Solution

McKoy's Smoke House and Saloon, a 136-seat independent restaurant located in Charlotte, North Carolina announces its selection of a POS solution from Squirrel Systems.

Inspired by his grandfather founder Ryan Register, along with father Namon and brother Jim opened McKoy's with service in mind. "Our number one goal is to make sure that all who come to McKoy's are treated like guests in our home," says Ryan Register. "Everything we do from buying the best ingredients to providing our staff with the best tools is geared to achieving this objective."

To that end, the Registers selected the SquirrelOne system. They also indicated that their large menu played a role in their decision-making process.

"I am a huge fan of Squirrel. It's easy to use, handles our complex menu beautifully and the service from our Squirrel reseller, Cabaret Systems, is top notch," states Register. "SquirrelOne gives us the information we need, when we need it from any terminal in the restaurant."

McKoy's also uses Squirrel's integration with RBSLynk for payment card processing. "Payment card processing is a critical piece in guest service," comments Register. "Squirrel and RBS Lynk make this process safe and seamless. Our guests receive their credit card vouchers quickly and we receive our payments in a timely fashion."
