Doc Popcorn Handpicks pcAmerica POS software for Franchise
Doc Popcorn, the only fresh-popped, all-natural flavored popcorn franchise, selected pcAmerica's retail and restaurant point of sale (POS) software, Restaurant Pro Express POS package.
The Restaurant Pro Express POS package will replace Doc Popcorn's outdated electronic cash registers, adding ongoing flexibility to customize software, as well as pcAmerica recommended and certified designed-to-fit peripherals. The chain plans to expand the rollout throughout the franchise organization.
When Doc Popcorn realized they needed a more ergonomic POS system setup, they began reviewing different POS equipment options with the pcAmerica team.
The POS system bundle Doc Popcorn executives chose included the Elo TouchSystems 15B1 All-in-One (AiO) Touchcomputer from TE Connectivity and Epson's TM-T70 thermal receipt printer.
Both products offer sleek, compact designs, ideally suited to occupy minimal counter real estate. Epson's TM-T70 was designed to fit under the counter, with all-front access to controls, paper loading and receipt dispensing. The space-saving design was ideal for Doc Popcorn, which operates 34 stores, including popcorn carts where space is at a premium.
"pcAmerica offers an extremely easy to use and highly customizable restaurant software solution that is certified on the Elo TouchSystems 15B1 AiO and with the Epson receipt printer, which were both perfect fits for our cart locations," states Rob Woodfield, director of operations for Doc Popcorn. "We needed a point of sale setup that was small, but had all of the functionality of a standard size POS terminal."
Restaurant Pro Express is a touch screen restaurant POS system that provides fast operation, accurate order taking and detailed reports with an easy-to-use interface.
The software has dozens of features in a package that is easy and affordable enough for independent restaurants and capable of sharing data between multiple restaurants.
With the Doc Popcorn brand expanding quickly, this solution has helped standardize its technology, which will enhance operations to collect and centralize sales data for Mobile PopCarts out in the field.
