New PMS Allows Military Lodging Provider to Improve Res Services
Navy Lodge Program announces the signing of an agreement with SoftBrands, Inc. to operate SoftBrands enterprise solutions including Epitome, Core and Karyon across its worldwide Navy Lodges.
The Navy Lodge Program operates 43 Navy Lodges worldwide with its headquarters in Virginia Beach, Va. and a call center in Jacksonville, Fla. Navy Lodges is the leader in military lodging, providing accommodations to active duty military, Department of Defense personnel, retirees and their families for both official and leisure travel at a significant savings.
"The implementation of this new property management system will enable the Navy Lodge Program to continue its leadership position in the military lodging arena," says Michael Bockelman, vice president NEXCOM and director Navy Lodge Program. "In the future, it will allow us to take reservations for all Navy lodging facilities worldwide. More importantly, it will give our Navy Lodge guests the ability for better and quicker service when checking into or out of a Navy Lodge or making a reservation online."
The Navy Lodges will implement a full enterprise suite, including Epitome Property Management System; Core Central Reservation System and Central Reservation Office integrated web; and KaryonÃ.‚¬s distribution service for over-sold situations. This centralized solution allows the Navy Lodges to offer its customers the facility to book reservations via the web while continuing to maintain the centralized reservation office in its Jacksonville, Fla., call center.
