MURTEC 2013 Launches "Restaurant of the Future" Interactive Exhibit
Hospitality Technology magazine is launching an interactive new exhibit called “Restaurant of the Future” in 2013 at its MURTECSM conference (Multi-Unit Restaurant Technology Conference, Caesars Palace Las Vegas, March 13 – 15, 2012) that will simulate a next-generation restaurant enabled by technology.
Restaurant of the Future is an interactive, walk-through experience that will showcase twelve future-focused technology solutions across 12 operational categories. These technologies will be selected for inclusion based on their capability to significantly improve and transform the dining experience for guests, as well as improve processes and profitability for restaurant operators.

These technologies will be selected for inclusion based on their capability to significantly improve and transform the dining experience for guests, as well as improve processes and profitability for restaurant operators.
For consideration in MURTEC’s Restaurant of the Future, technology vendors nominate their solution for evaluation by a panel of respected judges. Vendors must complete a comprehensive nomination form that covers a variety of areas. Solutions across all market segments — including quick-service, fast casual, and full-service — may be submitted for evaluation, but only one technology is chosen in each category based on its innovative and industry-transforming capabilities.
Chosen technologies will be announced by Hospitality Technology in January 2013, and will debut live in the Restaurant of the Future at MURTEC 2013 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, March 13-15. Admittance to Restaurant of the Future is included with MURTEC registration with no additional credentials required.
“This new endeavor is based largely on the feedback from MURTEC attendees, who are asking for access to innovative new technologies,” said Lenore O’Meara, publisher, Hospitality Technology. “MURTEC is an established conference that is boutique in nature, and our attendees wanted to see us open the conference to some new and exciting technologies without compromising the intimate nature of the event. Restaurant of the Future is a great way for us to have an event-within-an-event, opening the conference to those leading edge technology vendors who might not otherwise have an opportunity to exhibit, and providing something new for our legacy attendee audience. We are looking forward to hosting a fully simulated next-generation experience for the restaurant technology community.”
Restaurant of the Future is an exciting experience for operators and attendees alike, and promises to be a driving force behind the future of restaurant operations.
