Islands Implements Ordering Interface

Islands Restaurants announces that it is implementing Hospitality Solutions International's Ordering interface for most of its restaurant locations. With HSI's Ordering interface, orders flow directly from the Islands website to the POS system.

Customers using the Islands website are prompted to select a location and a pick-up time. They can customize items ordered to suit their preferences, pay on-line using a credit card, and then enter a description of their vehicle for optional curb-side take-out. The order is then prioritized in the POS system based on pick-up time and sent to the kitchen for preparation.

"Our business requires that our customers be able to place orders how and when they choose," states John Townsend, director of corporate services, Islands Restaurants. "Our guests and our employees love the system. We received hundreds of orders in the first two days prior to announcing that we were accepting online orders. It's a very convenient option and particularly popular with those guests who are in a hurry and those who may not be able to leave their cars to pick up their order."
