IHG Continues Relationship with Supply Chain Firm

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) signs a new five year contract with Ridgewood, NJ-based Supply Chain Management, LLC (SCM) under which SCM will manage IHG supply chain functions throughout North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.

"IHG has been very pleased with the performance of SCM during the three years of our previous agreement. As a result of SCM's performance we are now entering into a new five year agreement for their services," says Rick Kowaleski, IHG SVP Americas finance. "SCM will enable IHG to meet its commitment to continue driving down costs, enhancing relations with our suppliers and standardizing products and services. We look forward to a long and productive relationship."

SCM will manage the supply chain function for both IHG's corporate and owned/managed hotel portfolio, including sourcing, negotiating, contracting and interfacing with suppliers to maintain cost and quality control. In addition, SCM will manage the relationship with IHG's procurement service company.
