Hospitality Technology (HT) and Hospitality Technology Next Generation (HTNG) are collaborating for the fourth year in a row to host HT-NEXT 2020, a unique conference for the hospitality technology industry. HT-NEXT 2020 will take place April 27-30 at the Fairmont Princess Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona, and is assembling an educational agenda tied to the theme: “Predict the Unexpected.”
HT-NEXT brings together 500+ executives from across the hotel technology ecosystem, including hotel operators and solution providers, with expertise in property systems, guest room tech, e-commerce, distribution and operations. The focus in 2020 will help hotel executives anticipate where technology is headed, and predict what guests will want before they even know they want it.
“The latest research from Hospitality Technology indicates that the vast majority of hotels will increase their tech spending this year,” said Abigail Lorden, VP of Hospitality Technology and a producer of HT-NEXT. “In doing so, they’re looking for solutions that will help them deliver unexpected -- even unprecedented -- levels of personalization and convenience to guests, all while maximizing RevPar. It’s not an easy task, and HT-NEXT is a key resource in their planning as they evaluate possible partners and learn from industry leaders.
“This year,” Lorden added, “we’re also excited to share insight into some of the emerging technologies our teams saw at CES 2020, and help hoteliers prep for the next wave of consumer-led innovation.”
HT-NEXT features emerging trends and the ability to dig in to work together to solve current industry problems. The program will feature sessions on topics including attribute based selling, what hotels need to know about CCPA, and even how keeping guests and employees safe is evolving. The conference will also have industry adjacent speakers from companies such as Jet Blue Ventures and Disney Parks, Experiences & Products discussing thought provoking topics such as: “Faster Than The Speed of Innovation: How Tech-Focused Brands Stay on Top” and “Delivering the Unexpected: How Disney Defines True End-to-End Experiences.” The Hotel Visionary Awards and the HTNG TechOvation Award are also presented live during the event.
“Predict the Unexpected’ is the perfect theme for this year’s event,” said Michael Blake, CEO of HTNG. “Going into a new decade there will be no shortage of innovation arising so we need to think outside of the box and stay as ahead of the curve as possible. I’m looking forward to another great event full of collaboration, education and networking with our industry leaders.”
After the 2019 event, 94% of these attendees said they took away meaningful new insights, and 88% of attendees said they met important new contacts.
Hoteliers and sponsors receive full access to the event from April 27 through April 30, with exclusive access Monday, April 27 through Tuesday, April 28. Access for HTNG vendor member attendees begins April 29 through the close of the event on April 30.
