Hospitality Technology Names New Brand Director and Editor

7/11/2016
Hospitality Technology (HT) has promoted Abigail Lorden to the position of Brand Director. Ms. Lorden has been with HT for over 11 years, and during that time has played a key role in the brand’s incredible growth through her strategic content initiatives and event content direction.

Throughout her editorial tenure with HT, Lorden launched MURTEC University, a unique educational program that has tripled its attendance in the first three years, developed an online content strategy that achieved 40% traffic growth in the first year, and created two vital annual research reports (Lodging Technology Study and Customer Engagement Technology Study) that have become industry benchmarks. Lorden will have ultimate oversight of HT’s operations, including market and editorial strategy and revenue, and will report to Dave Weinand, SVP/GM of the Stagnito+Edgell Technology Group.

“For many years Abby has demonstrated her abilities in driving the strategic direction and growth of Hospitality Technology,” said Weinand.  “We are thrilled that she is stepping into this role and have great confidence that she will lead the HT brand to deliver even greater value to the industry.”

Dorothy Creamer has been promoted to Editor of Hospitality Technology. Creamer has been with HT’s parent company for six years, during which time she managed the full editorial strategy for several merchandizing magazines, and has served as HT’s managing editor for the past four years. Throughout her tenure at HT, Creamer has managed the brand’s digital channels, including its website and e-newsletters, and been instrumental in daily editorial operations. Creamer will report to Lorden.
