Fiserv, BentoBox’s parent company, has struck a deal to acquire Nextable, a cloud-based reservation, waitlist and table management system.

Nextable will be integrated into the BentoBox and Clover platforms. Nextable is the third Fiserv acquisition in the restaurant technology space, including BentoBox and Clover.

Integrations with other systems are driving POS purchase decisions for 86% of restaurants, according to HT's 2022 POS Software Trends Report

Nextable enables restaurants to manage an omnichannel guest arrival experience with a robust reservation and table management platform including integration with Reserve with Google, automated waitlist functionality, direct SMS text communications and customer relationship management tools. With this acquisition, BentoBox and Nextable will help restaurants build direct customer relationships and create differentiated diner experiences, ultimately driving new revenue streams.

Krystle Mobayeni, BentoBox Co-founder and Head of Restaurants at Fiserv, and HT's Top Women in Restaurant Technology - Innovator award winner in 2020, will lead the Nextable integration.

“Restaurant owners need centralized technology solutions that help them engage with diners directly and that are easy to use,” said Mobayeni. “We’re excited to join forces with Nextable to support restaurants in an innovative and meaningful way. The integration of a first-party reservation and table management system combined with point-of-sale and websites will create a powerful product offering for restaurants”

Restaurants that use BentoBox will have early access to Nextable.
