Extreme Pizza Streamlines Online Ordering

Extreme Pizza, a 34-store chain based in San Francisco, California, announces the successful implementation of an online ordering system in conjunction with FireFly Technologies and Brygid Restaurants Online.

Web orders from www.extremepizza.com are now automatically sent to FireFly's Phoenix POS system and printed out at the makeline printer at the store closest to the customer. Previously, online orders were printed out on a fax machine and had to be manually entered into the Phoenix system.

Brygid Restaurants Online enables seamless communication between orders from Extreme Pizza's website and the company's Phoenix POS systems via an XML interface. Data encryption protects transmission of customer credit card data.

"With 1,200 to 1,800 online orders a month per location, the Internet is an increasingly important component of our business," says Todd Parent, president and CEO of Extreme Pizza. "The integration between Brygid Restaurants Online and our Phoenix system helps us service our online customers more quickly and, at the same time, saves significant labor dollars. Technology is making Extreme Pizza easier to run and, ultimately, more profitable."
