Cosi Adopts Internet Hot Spot Solution

Cosi, Inc. announces that it will adopt SmartSpot, a hot spot solution from Cybera, Inc. that brings wireless Internet access to retail and restaurant establishments without requiring a dedicated Internet connection.

SmartSpot works with a store's existing broadband connection, eliminating the need for a secondary connection to the store location while maintaining security and PCI/CISP compliance.

"Utilizing Cybera's solution has meant our store managers don't have to chase down technology issues, contacting multiple vendors and waste time on hold if their Internet goes down," says Tom Janus, vice president of IT, Cosi, Inc. SmartSpot features include content filtering, data prioritization and branded splash pages along with fully-managed service delivery, proactive monitoring and a Service Level Agreement. SmartSpot integrates seamlessly with Cybera's SmartNetwork.
