Carlson Hotels Expands Global Portfolio
Carlson Hotels Worldwide announces the addition of six new hotels to its global portfolio during July of 2007. The new properties include a Radisson resort in Fiji; a Park Inn in Eastern New Brunswick, Canada; and four Country Inns & Suites By Carlson properties in Ohio, Michigan, Virginia and Florida.
"We are seeing steady and strong growth with the expansion of Country Inns & Suites in the United States and Park Inn in Canada, plus introductions into important new markets such as Fiji for Radisson," says Bill Sipple, corporate vice president of development for Carlson Hotels Worldwide.
Carlson Hotels indicates that such growth will continue in the coming years with construction of properties including: the Regent Maldives and the Regent Boston at Battery Wharf in 2008; and the Regent Emirates Pearl in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and the Regent Papagayo in Costa Rica in 2010.
