Bruegger's Standardizes POS, Polling

Bruegger's Enterprises standardizes its restaurant point of sale and polling applications on MegaPath to increase performance and reliability, and will also leverage the MegaPath network to deliver WiFi access to its customers.

"By standardizing on MegaPath to support all of our Internet access and WAN requirements, we are not only increasing the performance for our 250 restaurants and 12 offices, manufacturing and distribution locations, but we have also significantly decreased overhead of supporting all of these locations," said Chris North, director of IT at Bruegger's Enterprises.

Bruegger's Enterprises can now poll its restaurant inventory and sales data every night, increasing the company's ability to forecast and support the requirements of its bakeries as well as improving the responsiveness of Bruegger's Enterprises' supply chain.

"MegaPath's fully managed communication services enable us increase the productivity of our employees and the accuracy of our reporting, while reducing support overhead," says North.
