Bruegger's Expands South Carolina Footprint

Bruegger's recently celebrated the grand opening of Bruegger's locations in Spartanburg and Columbia, South Carolina. A portion of the proceeds from the grand opening celebrations were donated to the Gibbs Cancer Center Fund at the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Foundation and the Harvest Hope Food Bank.

"South Carolina is a growing market for Bruegger's and we are proud to have the opportunity to grow in places like Spartanburg and Columbia," says James J. Greco, CEO of Bruegger's.
The Columbia location is operated by Bruegger's franchise partner Lowcountry Bagels, LLC. "This is an important market for Bruegger's expansion," says Daniel B. Krueger, principal of Lowcountry Bagels, LLC.

"More than 40 percent of our bakeries are operated by our franchise partners such as Lowcountry Bagels, who help make the Bruegger's bakery-cafe an inviting place for our guests," says Greco.
There are currently three other Bruegger's locations in South Carolina. The first Bruegger's bakery-cafe opened in Charleston in August of 2006.
