Boston Market COO to Deliver Keynote at MURTEC

Dave Thomas, chief operating officer of Boston Market, will present the opening keynote address, "Roadmap to Guest Driven Profitability," to attendees of the Multi-unit Restaurant Technology Conference (MURTEC) on March 15 in Las Vegas.

The event, now in its 12th year, will bring together more than 200 restaurant technology, finance and operations professionals for three days (March 14-16) of peer-to-peer exchange of ideas and best practices. Thomas will address an audience of peers on the role of guest satisfaction in achieving continued growth and success.

"The reason we all exist is because we have guests that are excited about what we do. Often, however, as more layers of policy and procedure get added on, companies can lose their vision and passion to deliver on the guests' needs," states Thomas. "That's when we need to take a step back and ask ourselves, Ã.‚¬Ëœwhat are we really doing, and does it support the guests' needs?'"

In his role at Boston Market, Thomas is responsible for all field operations, including more than 14,000 employees at 630 restaurants in 28 states. He joined the company in 2001 as Southeast division president. Previously, Thomas held various management positions at McDonald's Corporation.
