Borgata Deploys In-Building Wireless Network

Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, NJ announces the deployment of the InterReach Unison wireless system to support enhanced multi-carrier wireless cellular coverage. Thus far, the system, provided by LGC Wireless, has seen carrier traffic as high as double the expected volume.

The Unison system currently supports Nextel and Cingular subscribers, while Sprint has contracted for cellular coverage on the system, and other carriers are in various stages of negotiations with Borgata.

"We continually strive to offer an unprecedented level of service and comfort for our guests," says John Forelli, vice president of information technology at Borgata. "We want to enable clear cellular coverage for our guests from as many carriers as possible, as quickly as possible."

Slated to open in early-2008, The Water Club at Borgata, an 800-room boutique hotel will also use LGC's in-building cellular coverage solutions.
