2005 Lodging Industry Study
As hotels implement more complex information technology systems, the problem of integration is weighing more heavily on everything they do. Far and away, systems integration ranked as the most significant challenge facing the lodging industry. Half of the respondents to the 2005 Lodging Industry Technology Study report that their most important IT challenge is integrating information technology systems, outdistancing other concerns like systems maintenance (20%), implementing new systems (19%) and hiring and keeping good IT staff (10%).
