130th Restaurant Added to Foodler's Online Meal Ordering Service

Foodler.com, an online portal through which customers can place meal orders, adds the 130th Boston-area restaurant to its database. This is the latest in a trend that has seen Foodler.com's growth rate increase 220 percent over the last six months.

Visitors to the Foodler homepage, after entering their zip code or address, can access a list of restaurants (with accompanying menus) in their area that provide take-out and delivery services. After customers select meals and enter payment information, an automated order is generated to the restaurant.

"Partnering with Foodler has been great for our overall business, which has grown by at least 10 percent. We've had a 79 percent increase in our online ordering in the past three months alone," says Jeff Zamiri, owner of Sorento's Italian Restaurant. "We've definitely improved our efficiency and our customer satisfaction is much higher."

National Restaurant Association data supports Zamiri's claim, indicating that more than 36 percent of consumers have visited a restaurant's website, 31 percent have viewed a restaurant's menu online, and 11 percent have used the internet to place an order.

"Since we started working with Foodler my business has increased 15-20 percent and we've drastically reduced our in-house marketing," says Narinder Guhania, owner of Passage to India, in Cambridge's Porter Square. Adds Aslan Kartalli of Cookin' Cafe and Grill, "I've already seen a 10 percent growth in our business from being listed on Foodler.com, and we've eliminated all of our website headaches with Foodler's management of the online ordering."
