Marco Trecroce of Four Seasons Elected to HTNG's Board of Governors
Marco Trecroce joined Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in 2010 as the first Chief Information Officer in the company's 56-year history. During his time at Four Seasons he has led the company through an extensive global IT and business transformation, including investment in cloud based technologies for its hotels and residential property operations, and global corporate offices. Headquartered in Toronto, Four Seasons is a global leader in luxury hospitality with 106 hotels and resorts in major city centers and resort destinations in 44 countries.
Marco has a diverse background of international experience. He began his career at IBM in sales and marketing before joining Anderson's IT consulting practice. Moving to the United Kingdom in 1999, he assumed a number of CIO, COO, and senior executive positions specializing in business transformation for companies including UK tour operators Airtours and Thomas Cook. He then worked for Opodo, an Amadeus online travel company, before returning to Canada in 2006.
The HTNG Board of Governors is the direction-setting body for the organization, representing over 2.5 million guest rooms and world-leading venues. The 24 board members meet regularly to actively provide direction and prioritization on the key issues that face industry IT leaders as they seek to improve technology for the millions of hotel rooms and other hospitality venues worldwide within the scope of their responsibility.
