Presto’s Payment Data Security Earns Payment Card Industry’s Point-to-Point Encryption Certification
Presto, a provider of front-of-house (FOH) technology, has been recognized as an official Payment Card Security Council’s Point-to-Point (P2PE) full solution provider.
Established by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council, P2PE certification requires that payment card data is immediately encrypted upon use at the point-of-sale terminal. Further, the information cannot be decrypted until it is safely and securely transported back to, and processed by the payment processor, making digital payment at any of Presto’s thousands of restaurant customer locations safer than ever.
Presto is a provider of tabletop, handheld tablets, kiosks and software technologies that enable merchants, primarily restaurants, to allow their guests to order food, play games and pay for their meal from the convenience of their table. Secure NFC payments like Apple Pay, Google Wallet are also accepted as well as debit cards. With this new certification, Presto now has PCI DSS Service Provider Level 1, Payment Application (PA DSS), PIN Transaction Security (PTS), EMVco L1, L2, L3 and PCI P2PE certifications.
