Instawork, an on-demand staffing app for gig workers and hospitality businesses, announces today that it has officially launched as a gig marketplace and is continuing its expansion throughout California.

Instawork is also announcing previously secured $10 million in funding from Benchmark, Y Combinator, Tuesday Capital, SV Angel, and Liquid 2 Ventures. Benchmark’s General Partner, Bill Gurley, also serves on the Instawork board.

Instawork, available on Android and iOS in English and Spanish, is currently focused on serving the needs of the hospitality industry, connecting thousands of Instawork Professionals and business Partners every day. Instawork is currently operating across the entire Bay Area and Los Angeles and pilots are underway to expand across California in 2019.
